Peter London Global Dance Company: Miami Wild Fire
Dec 18, 2026 - Dec 19, 2026
Daily through Dec 19, 2026
Starting: 7:00 PM
New choreography, jazz collaborations and Caribbean-inflected contemporary dance come together in a 15th-anniversary program by Miami’s Peter London Global Dance Company. Presented Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 as part of the Arsht Center’s Dance at Arsht series, Miami Wild Fire features guest artists Jamar Roberts, Nicole Henry and Lloyd Knight alongside company dancers and alumni.
The program includes a world premiere by Roberts set to a score by pianist and composer Jason Moran, while Martha Graham Dance Company principal dancer Lloyd Knight performs Deeply Rooted to music by trumpeter and composer Etienne Charles. Jazz vocalist Nicole Henry appears in a collaboration with PLGDC alumni Justin Rapaport and Brooke Skye Logan. Alumni Jesus Sandoval and Richard Villaverde also premiere new solos, and the program features Peter London’s The Divine Ones and the company favorite Caribbean Suite.
Founded in Miami in 2011 by Trinidad and Tobago-born choreographer and educator Peter London, PLGDC develops contemporary work rooted in South Florida’s multicultural communities. Its repertory draws from modern dance and ballet as well as jazz, Caribbean, West African and other movement traditions.
