weekly on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - Through Feb 28, 2027
Fri-Mon: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Thu: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
European modernism unfolds through approximately 100 paintings, drawings, watercolors and sculptures by Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti and other artists from Berlin’s Museum Berggruen. On view October 29 through February 28, 2027 at Pérez Art Museum Miami, the exhibition traces developments in color, abstraction, figuration and Cubism through works assembled by collector and dealer Heinz Berggruen over more than four decades.
Highlights include extensive selections by Picasso and Klee, Matisse cut-outs and Giacometti sculptures, alongside works by artists including Paul Cézanne and Georges Braque. Organized around themes such as portraiture, still life, interiors and landscape, the exhibition also reflects Berggruen’s close relationships with artists and his role in the postwar art worlds of Paris and Berlin.
The PAMM presentation is the largest showing of the Berggruen collection on the East Coast. Works from PAMM’s permanent collection by Latin American modernists including Diego Rivera, Joaquín Torres-García and Wifredo Lam provide a broader international context for the European works on view.
