Picnic de Libros
Oct 17, 2026
From: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Stories, art, music and hands-on activities bring families together around books during a free bilingual afternoon at the Koubek Center. Presented Saturday, October 17 by the Koubek Center and Miami Book Fair, Picnic de Libros is a recurring family program designed to introduce children to literature and the arts through storytelling, creative workshops and shared reading.
The October edition features a painting workshop led by Cuban artist Yunier Cervino Oliver of Creative Palmetto Studio, storytelling by Venezuelan actor Saul Mauricio and percussion classes with Cuban artist Brenda Navarrete. Chilean artist Cote Composto also appears as an iconic character from the world of film.
Picnic baskets filled with books will be available for families to read and explore together, with food trucks also on site. Admission and valet parking are complimentary.
