A theatrical musical about ambition, identity and the search for purpose comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center as part of the Theater Up Close series. Running on select dates from March 11 through April 4, Pippin is presented by Zoetic Stage and the Adrienne Arsht Center.
With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson, the musical follows a young prince as he searches for personal meaning, guided by the mysterious Leading Player. Along the way, Pippin moves through experiences of war, power, desire and love while trying to find his own “corner of the sky.”
Winner of four Tony Awards, Pippin is known for its blend of pop-influenced songs, theatrical storytelling and self-aware staging. The production is part of the Arsht Center’s 2026-27 Theater Up Close season, created in collaboration with Zoetic Stage.
