Premios Billboard de la Musica Latina

Latin music’s chart leaders, live performances and special honors come together at the James L. Knight Center for one of the industry’s longest-running awards ceremonies. The Premios Billboard de la Música Latina take place Thursday, October 22, closing out Billboard Latin Music Week, which runs October 19-22 in Miami with artist conversations, showcases and other industry programming.

Unlike awards determined primarily by voting panels, the Billboard Latin Music Awards base their finalists and winners on performance on Billboard’s weekly charts, incorporating sales, streaming, radio airplay and other chart data. Peso Pluma, Tito Double P, Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Prince Royce and Bad Bunny are among the artists leading the 2026 finalist field, reflecting chart activity from September 2025 through early September 2026.

Panamanian singer, songwriter and actor Rubén Blades will receive the 2026 Billboard Icon Award in recognition of his career and influence across generations of Latin music. The ceremony will also feature live musical performances, with additional participants announced as the event approaches, and will be broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock.
