Preserve the Harvest

Food preservation techniques and seasonal flavors come together in a demonstrative workshop at Fruit & Spice Park in Homestead. Preserve the Harvest takes place Saturday, November 21, offering participants an introduction to methods for extending the life of fruits, herbs and other garden-grown ingredients. The annual class is designed for curious beginners as well as those with an existing interest in preservation.

Set within one of Miami-Dade County’s most distinctive agricultural parks, the workshop explores practical approaches to preserving the harvest while highlighting the natural abundance of the Fruit & Spice Park setting. Participants can expect an educational session focused on food traditions, preparation techniques and a closer connection to seasonal ingredients.
