Mar 13, 2027
Starting: 8:00 PM
A program of orchestral showpieces and virtuosic piano takes the stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center with a performance by The Cleveland Orchestra. The concert takes place Saturday, March 13, as part of The Cleveland Orchestra in Miami series, presented in partnership with the Arsht Center.
Conducted by Semyon Bychkov, the program features pianist Alexandre Kantorow performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a work known for its inventive variations and technical demands. The evening also includes Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, which highlights the individual sections of the ensemble, and Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a set of musical portraits reflecting the composer’s personal circle.
Presented in a concert hall setting, the performance brings together works that emphasize orchestral color, thematic variation and the interplay between soloist and ensemble.
