Riddims of Graffiti: A Solo Exhibition by Izia Lindsay
May 14, 2026 - Aug 22, 2026
Starting: 6:00 PM
A solo exhibition by artist Izia Lindsay explores Caribbean identity through layered, mixed-media compositions at Barry University’s Institute of Immigration Studies Gallery. On view from May 14 through August 22, Riddims of Graffiti is presented by Diaspora Vibes Cultural Arts Incubator.
Lindsay, an MFA-trained artist and assistant professor of art, works across digital and traditional media to create geometric, multi-layered visual narratives. Drawing on Caribbean iconography, material culture and indigenous histories, his work examines themes of identity and class within a post-colonial context, combining structured forms with expressive, dynamic compositions.
An opening reception takes place Thursday, May 14, from 6 to 9 p.m., followed by an artist talk on Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
