Rodrigo Padrón Vila & Alfredo Oyagüez
Jan 25, 2026
Starting: 5:00 PM
A refined afternoon recital brings classical, jazz, and cinematic works to the open lawn at Lummus Park in Miami Beach, featuring saxophonist Rodrigo Padrón Vila and pianist Alfredo Oyagüez Montero as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series.
The acclaimed duo presents a wide-ranging program that moves fluidly from the rhythmic intensity of Astor Piazzolla and the lyricism of Manuel de Falla to the jazz-inflected melodies of George Gershwin and selections by John Williams, Dmitri Shostakovich, Hua-Ting Kwan and others. Blending soulful tango, contemporary compositions and film-inspired themes, the performance highlights the expressive range and musical dialogue between saxophone and piano.
This concert takes place Sunday, January 25 in Lummus Park, located along Ocean Drive between 14th Street and 14th Place. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair. In the event of rain, the performance will move indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
Presented by the Ocean Drive Association, the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series is a free weekly concert series generously supported by the City of Miami Beach, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Ocean Drive Association.
