Rose
Jul 31, 2025
Starting: 7:30 PM
An exploration of memory and survival unfolds onstage as actress Susana Yasan brings to life the story of a Jewish woman navigating the defining traumas of the 20th century.
Rose will be performed on Thursday, July 31 at the Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC. Directed by Silvio Gressani with original music by Ana Foutel, this internationally acclaimed production follows its title character as she reflects on her experiences through the shtetl, the ghetto, the camps and exile, ultimately confronting the meaning of survival and justice. Performed with intensity and nuance by Yasan, Rose becomes more than a monologue; it’s a living testimony where remembering is both an act of resistance and of love. Previously presented in Argentina, Panama, Germany and cities across the U.S., this staging continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
