Schemes of Visibility: The Art of Edouard Duval-Carrié opens at The ARC (Arts & Recreation Center) from October 4 through November 16, offering a look at the work of renowned Haitian artist Edouard Duval-Carrié.
Known for his mixed-media pieces that blend magic realism with themes of voodoo, mythology and colonial history, Duval-Carrié’s art offers a thought-provoking exploration of the Caribbean’s complex past. His work is part of several prestigious collections, including the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Pérez Art Museum.
Presented by Ten North Group, the exhibition kicks off with an opening reception on October 4 from 6-8 p.m.
