Schmaltz & Pepper

Blending klezmer with jazz, swing and classical influences, Schmaltz & Pepper offers a contemporary take on Yiddish music at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The performance takes place Sunday, January 4 at 4:00 p.m.

Led by Toronto Symphony principal clarinetist Eric Abramovitz and Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist Drew Jurecka, the chamber ensemble also features acclaimed musicians Rebekah Wolkstein, Michael Herring and Jeremy Ledbetter. Known for original compositions and inventive arrangements, the group brings a genre-crossing interpretation of Jewish musical heritage to the stage.
