Si me Pudieras Querer: Un Tributo a Bola de Nieve

An intimate tribute brings the music and legacy of Bola de Nieve to the stage at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center, blending live performance with storytelling to honor one of the most singular figures in Cuban and Latin American music.

Presented by ARCA Images in partnership with the Roxy Theatre Group and Miami-Dade County Auditorium, Si me Pudieras Querer traces the artistic journey of Ignacio Villa—pianist, singer and performer whose emotional intensity and theatrical presence redefined the relationship between voice and piano. Rather than serving as simple accompaniment, the piano becomes a dialogue partner, shaping performances marked by humor, vulnerability and expressive truth.

The program follows Bola de Nieve’s path from his childhood in Guanabacoa to the development of a style in which emotion leads and music unfolds as lived experience. A carefully curated selection of songs highlights his dramatic phrasing and interpretive depth, reflecting a career that carried Cuban music to audiences across Latin America, the United States and Europe.

The performance is part of Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s Away From Home Series, an initiative that continues MDCA’s dance, theater and music programming at partner venues during the auditorium’s renovation. Through this series, performances remain accessible across South Florida, sustaining the region’s cultural life during this transitional period.
