Sing for FREADOM with Joanie Leeds

Join the community in a stand against censorship at the Sing for FREADOM concert featuring GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Joanie Leeds. This free event, kicking off National Banned Book Week, will be held on Sunday, September 22 at the Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ.

Leeds’ album, FREADOM, draws inspiration from children’s books that have been banned in Florida. In addition to a live musical performance, attendees can enjoy live readings of banned book titles, browse a selection of banned books for purchase and participate in activities aimed at combating educational censorship.
