Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail and Scarlet Rae

Guitar-driven indie rock takes over Lincoln’s Beard Brewery with a lineup centered on sharp songwriting, textured arrangements and emotionally direct vocals. The Breakeven Booking-presented concert takes place Saturday, October 17, featuring Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail and Scarlet Rae. The bill brings together two widely followed indie projects with a rising artist whose sound draws from shoegaze, acoustic songwriting and the DIY scenes of Los Angeles and New York.

Soccer Mommy, the project of singer-songwriter Sophie Allison, emerged from bedroom recordings before developing into a guitar-forward indie rock project known for conversational lyrics and 1990s-influenced textures. Snail Mail, led by singer, songwriter and guitarist Lindsey Jordan, pairs candid introspection with dreamy, layered guitar work, with albums such as Lush and Valentine helping establish the project’s place in contemporary indie rock.

Opening the bill, Scarlet Rae is a Los Angeles-born, New York-based artist signed to Bayonet Records. Her music blends understated acoustic instrumentation, shoegaze-leaning distortion and hushed vocals, extending a path that began in the Los Angeles DIY circuit before moving into solo work.
