Michael B. Jordan steps into the ring as the son of boxing legend Apollo Creed in an outdoor screening of Creed at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. The Wednesday, November 25 presentation is part of the 17th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series, which projects films onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the 2015 drama follows Adonis Johnson as he travels to Philadelphia and persuades retired champion Rocky Balboa, played by Sylvester Stallone, to train him. As Adonis works toward establishing his own identity in the ring, Rocky faces a serious personal battle of his own.
The PG-13 film is presented outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees may bring blankets and picnic baskets for the screening.
