Robin Williams plays an eccentric professor whose latest invention bounces wildly out of control in an outdoor screening of Flubber at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. The Wednesday, November 11 presentation is part of the 17th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series, which projects films onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center.
Directed by Les Mayfield, the 1997 Disney comedy follows absent-minded scientist Philip Brainard as he creates a highly elastic green substance with extraordinary properties. His discovery soon leads to a string of mishaps involving his experiments, his college and his efforts to repair his personal life.
The PG-rated film is presented outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees may bring blankets and picnic baskets for the screening.
