Soundscape Cinema Series: Hamnet

Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal portray Agnes and William Shakespeare in an outdoor screening of Hamnet at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. The Wednesday, January 6 presentation is part of the 17th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series, which projects films onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center.
Directed by Chloé Zhao and adapted from Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel, the 2025 drama follows the Shakespeare family as they cope with the death of their young son Hamnet. The story centers on Agnes as grief strains the family and ultimately becomes intertwined with the creation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
The PG-13 film is presented outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees may bring blankets and picnic baskets for the screening.
