Soundscape Cinema Series: The Muppets

Kermit and the gang reunite for music, comedy and a mission to save their old theater in an outdoor screening of The Muppets at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. The Wednesday, May 12 presentation is part of the 17th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series, which projects films onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center.
Directed by James Bobin, the 2011 musical comedy follows devoted Muppet fan Walter, his brother Gary and Gary’s girlfriend Mary as they help Kermit bring the scattered Muppets back together. Their goal is to stage one final show and raise enough money to keep a wealthy oil executive from demolishing the Muppet Theater.
The PG-rated film is presented outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees may bring blankets and picnic baskets for the screening.
