Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the toy-box crew face a new challenge from the digital world in an outdoor screening of Toy Story 5 at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. The Wednesday, April 28 presentation is part of the 17th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series, which projects films onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center.
Directed by Andrew Stanton, the 2026 Pixar sequel finds the toys confronting a changing idea of play as electronics compete for children’s attention. The story brings Woody, Buzz, Jessie and their friends back together as they navigate what their role means in a world increasingly shaped by screens and technology.
The G-rated film is presented outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees may bring blankets and picnic baskets for the screening.
