Spam Allstars
Nov 21, 2026
From: 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM
Live percussion, horns and flute meet turntables and electronic textures in a set rooted in Latin rhythms, funk and improvisation. Spam Allstars performs Saturday, November 21 on Miami Book Fair’s Off the Shelf Stage at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. Led by founder Andrew Yeomanson, known as DJ Le Spam, the group describes its sound as “electronic descarga,” adapting the spontaneous interplay of a traditional Latin jam session.
The band grew out of Yeomanson’s experimental DJ performances, which combined recorded material with live instruments. Its lineup brings together Tomas Diaz on percussion, AJ Hill on saxophone, Chad Bernstein on trombone, Jose Elias on guitar, Magela Herrera on flute and Smurphio on keyboards, alongside DJ Le Spam on turntables and effects. The ensemble’s touring history includes performances across the United States, Europe, Canada, South America and South Africa.
