Spring Mix: Your Perfect Golden Hour

Minimalist movement, playful jazz-infused choreography and primal modern dance converge in this eclectic spring program at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Presented as part of Miami City Ballet’s 2025/2026 season, Spring Mix: Your Perfect Golden Hour runs February 20–22 and features three works that highlight the many forms dance can take. Jerome Robbins’ Moves opens the program with choreography performed in complete silence, offering a rare opportunity to experience ballet distilled to its purest elements - gesture, rhythm and connection.

The program continues with the world premiere of a new work by Durante Verzola, set to the jazz compositions of George Gershwin. This piece blends spirited classical technique with contemporary flair, reflecting Verzola’s signature musicality. The evening concludes with the company premiere of Paul Taylor’s Cloven Kingdom, a provocative exploration of the tension between civility and instinct, set to a bold score that fuses baroque music with modern percussion.
