Storied Vizcaya at the Market

Storytelling, art-making and family activities bring a literary focus to the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market. Storied Vizcaya at the Market takes place Sunday, August 2 at Vizcaya Village. Presented by Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, the rain-or-shine program invites children and caregivers to explore stories, meet local authors and take part in hands-on creative activities alongside the weekly market.

The day begins with Backpack Bonanza: Gear Up for Greatness at 11 a.m., offering free backpacks with school supplies for the first 100 attendees who register. Storytelling begins at 11:30 a.m. with The Children’s Trust Book Club, followed by readings from local authors and related art activities connected to stories, community and creativity.

Families can also browse the Vizcaya Village Farmers Market, which features local vendors, prepared foods, produce, baked goods, vegan products and handmade items in the estate’s historic village setting. Admission to the farmers market does not include admission to Vizcaya’s Main House and formal gardens.
