SUPERNATURE: In Conversation with Ricardo E. Zulueta and René Moral
Dec 01, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Artist Ricardo E. Zulueta and curator René Morales examine how technology shapes identity through a conversation about painting, sculpture and video. The Miami Art Week program takes place Tuesday, December 1, at The Betsy–South Beach in Miami Beach, in partnership with Dot FiftyOne Gallery and Oolite Arts.
The discussion centers on SUPERNATURE, Zulueta’s solo presentation at Untitled Art Miami Beach 2026, which combines large-scale diptych paintings, bioplastic sculptures and embedded video to explore surveillance and imagined post-human identities. The speakers will also discuss Rising Glitch Levels, his site-specific video installation projected on The Betsy Orb during Miami Art Week.
Zulueta is a Miami-based interdisciplinary artist, scholar and 2026 Oolite Arts resident. Morales, a former chief curator at Pérez Art Museum Miami and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, currently holds curatorial roles at the Norton Museum of Art and Bakehouse Art Complex.
The evening includes:
- 6–7 p.m.: Reception
- 7–8 p.m.: Artist and curator conversation
Admission is free with RSVP.
