Swan Lake

Alexei Ratmansky’s staging of ballet’s enduring tale of love, deception and transformation returns to Miami City Ballet with more than 50 dancers and Tchaikovsky’s score performed live. Presented Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, May 2 at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House, Swan Lake returns to South Florida after two seasons of sold-out performances.

Ratmansky’s interpretation follows Prince Siegfried, Odette and Odile through the ballet’s familiar story of enchantment, mistaken identity and betrayal, while drawing on the work’s classical traditions through detailed choreography, large-scale sets and period-inspired costumes. The Miami City Ballet Orchestra accompanies the production with Tchaikovsky’s full score.

Part of Miami City Ballet’s 2026-27 season, the production brings one of the classical repertory’s best-known works back to the company stage for a limited run.
