Nov 25, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Finnish jazz pianist Joonas Haavisto joins JCHRIS for a Thanksgiving Eve performance at The Betsy–South Beach’s Piano Bar. Taking place Wednesday, November 25, the evening is part of the Miami Beach hotel’s Thanksgiving Weekend Jazz programming.
Haavisto’s compositions combine melodic themes with layered rhythms and intricate harmonies. A Steinway Artist since 2017, he has performed internationally with his trio and composed piano music for the Cannes award-winning film The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki.
JCHRIS, also known as Chris Urquiaga, brings an Eastman School of Music background and a musical approach shaped by Latin, African and Brazilian influences. His work draws on his Brazilian, Peruvian and Cuban heritage, with appearances that include PBS-televised specials.
