Thanksgiving Weekend Jazz: Yamit Lemoine and Vinyl Blvd

Swing, bossa nova and classic ballads shape the repertoire of Miami ensemble Yamit and the Vinyl Blvd. Led by vocalist and violinist Yamit Lemoine, the group performs Saturday, November 28, at The Betsy’s Piano Bar in Miami Beach as part of the hotel’s Thanksgiving Weekend Jazz programming. The daytime performance draws on the band’s focus on jazz from the 1920s through the 1960s.

Born in Israel and raised in Toronto, Lemoine trained in classical voice and violin before developing a musical approach informed by jazz, soul, blues and theater. She founded Vinyl Blvd in 2014 and released the ensemble’s debut album, Ain’t Misbehavin’, in 2019. Her singing and violin playing bring two distinct voices to the group’s interpretations of vintage jazz.

Admission is free and open to the public. Food from LT Steak & Seafood and beverages are available for purchase at The Piano Bar, located at 1440 Ocean Drive.
