The Company We Keep

Classical, jazz and musical theater repertoire is reimagined through collaborative vocal performance in an evening centered on artistic partnership and shared musical history. The concert takes place Thursday, November 19 at Newman Recital Hall as part of the Frost School of Music’s 2026-2027 season. Frank Ragsdale, chair of the Frost Vocal Department, leads the program with arranger and pianist Craig Terry alongside a roster of guest artists and longtime colleagues.

The program draws on a range of vocal traditions, using new arrangements and ensemble collaborations to highlight the expressive possibilities of the human voice. Its focus on recurring artistic relationships gives the concert a personal dimension, connecting the repertoire to the professional friendships and creative partnerships that have shaped the performers’ work.
