A late-night rooftop screening revisits Christopher Nolan’s reinvention of the superhero film through a darker, morally charged lens.
The Dark Knight screens Friday, February 6 at Rooftop Cinema Club on Miami Beach, presenting the 2008 film that reshaped expectations of the genre. Set in a Gotham City pushed to the brink, the story follows Batman’s escalating conflict with the Joker, whose anarchic philosophy and psychological warfare challenge not only the city’s institutions but the very idea of justice. Anchored by Heath Ledger’s Academy Award-winning performance, the film blends crime thriller, political allegory and blockbuster spectacle, examining chaos, surveillance and moral compromise in a post-9/11 cultural moment.
The screening begins at 10 p.m. and takes place in Rooftop Cinema Club’s open-air setting, with seating options that include individual Adirondack chairs and double-width loveseats designed for shared viewing. Select ticket options include popcorn, and all seating faces the venue’s outdoor screen.
