The Ellies: Oolite Arts Awards
Apr 22, 2026
From: 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Oolite Arts’ annual awards ceremony, The Ellies, honoring artists and cultural leaders across South Florida, takes place at 1111 Lincoln Road. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, this year’s edition, themed “Celebrating the Foundation for What’s Next,” recognizes artistic achievement while supporting the region’s creative community.
The evening celebrates the 2026 award recipients and honors Mario Cader-Frech and Robert S. Wennett for their work advancing Central American art and supporting cultural institutions. Established by Oolite Arts in 2018, the Ellies Awards reflect the legacy of founder Ellie Schneiderman and are presented across multiple categories, including Lifetime Achievement, Better World Award, Art Teacher Travel Awards and Creator Awards.
The program includes a gathering of artists, patrons and supporters, along with an artist-led host committee and a related fundraising auction. Proceeds and support generated through the event contribute to grants, residencies and public programs that provide direct resources to artists throughout the region.
