The Harden Project
Mar 08, 2026
Starting: 5:00 PM
A soulful fusion of jazz, groove and heartfelt storytelling takes center stage in Lummus Park as The Harden Project performs as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. Scheduled for Sunday, March 8, the free weekly concert begins at 5 p.m., inviting guests to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair and enjoy live music on the lawn between 14th Street and 14th Place along Ocean Drive.
At the core of The Harden Project are vocalist Ja’Nia Harden and keyboardist John Harden II, a husband-and-wife duo whose musical chemistry shapes every performance. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Dinah Washington, Al Jarreau, Jimmy Smith and Robert Glasper, the pair blends jazz, soul and genre-spanning influences into compositions that are both groove-driven and emotionally resonant. Their performances balance improvisation and intimacy, with a focus on connection and expressive musicianship.
Presented by the Ocean Drive Association, the Promenade Sunday Concert Series offers free live music every Sunday. In case of rain, the concert will move indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
