Apr 09, 2026 - May 21, 2026
Select Days
Two shows: 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM
A live jazz tribute revisits the timeless music of Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong in the intimate, nature-immersed setting of Palapa at Upper Buena Vista.
Presented as part of The Jazz Room concert series, this one-hour performance reimagines classic songs associated with two of the most influential figures in American music, blending swing-era elegance with the warmth and soul that defined their legacies. Live renditions of beloved standards such as “Fly Me to the Moon,” “My Way,” “What a Wonderful World” and “When You’re Smiling” anchor the evening, performed by a skilled ensemble in a setting designed for close listening and connection.
The concert takes place on Thursday, April 9, with an additional performance on Thursday, May 21. The experience unfolds beneath Palapa’s iconic tiki structure, built by Seminole tribe members using ancestral techniques and surrounded by lush tropical trees. This open-air yet sheltered space creates a natural gateway for live music, where culture, celebration and environment intersect.
Guests 21 and over are invited to enjoy an evening that honors Sinatra’s effortless phrasing and Armstrong’s unmistakable trumpet and voice, while also experiencing one of Miami’s most distinctive performance spaces. Seating is shared and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone, and the venue is ADA accessible.
