The Steinway Artist Series III
Apr 11, 2027
Starting: 6:00 PM
Three pianists join the Miami Symphony Orchestra for a program that moves from contemporary Latin American rhythms to Mozart and Brahms. The Steinway Artist Series III takes place Sunday, April 11 in Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
Conducted by music director Eduardo Marturet, the concert is part of MISO’s Steinway Artist Series, a season-long focus on piano-centered repertoire and internationally recognized Steinway artists. The program opens with the South Florida premiere of Márquez’s Danzón No. 9, bringing the composer’s vibrant orchestral language and Latin American dance influences to the evening.
Kevin Kenner, Viet Trung Nguyen and Shuguan Gong are featured in Mozart’s Concerto No. 7 in F major for Three Pianos, a work built around graceful interplay among the soloists and orchestra. The concert concludes with Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 in F major, known for its lyrical warmth, dramatic contrasts and richly layered orchestral writing.
