The Sweeter the Tune

Mezzo-soprano Robynne Redmon draws on a career spanning opera, concert and recital stages for an intimate vocal program with pianist Jenny Renee Snyder. The Sweeter the Tune takes place Thursday, January 28 at Newman Recital Hall as part of the Frost School of Music’s 2026-2027 season. The recital reflects on songs and repertoire shaped by Redmon’s years as a performer, placing musical interpretation and lived experience at the center of the program.
A member of the Frost faculty, Redmon has performed with companies including the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, La Scala and Berlin State Opera, and has created roles in contemporary operas including Madame Mao. Snyder, a Frost faculty pianist and vocal coach, has collaborated with singers including Frederica von Stade and also performs with the contemporary music ensemble Alarm Will Sound.
