Third Thursday: Filmgate Interactive Media Festival

Immersive storytelling, interactive media and creative technology take over The Bass for a Third Thursdays program presented with FilmGate Miami. Taking place Thursday, March 18, FilmGate Interactive Media Festival brings filmmakers, immersive artists, game designers, AI artists and creative technologists together with audiences to explore emerging forms of entertainment and storytelling.

Founded in Miami in 2012, FilmGate has grown from a grassroots filmmaker platform into a year-round organization supporting film, immersive media and creative technology through festivals, labs, mentorship and public programs. Its Interactive Media Festival provides a setting for experimental work across areas including XR, gaming, AI, installation, performance and interactive cinema.

Part of The Bass’s recurring Third Thursdays series in Miami Beach, the evening is free with RSVP, with admission available on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited capacity. Third Thursdays coincides with the City of Miami Beach Culture Crawl, which provides free trolley service among participating cultural destinations.
