A shared love of photo books becomes the starting point for quick, image-driven conversations at The Bass in Miami Beach. Presented Thursday, July 15 as part of the museum’s Third Thursdays series, Photo Book Speed Date with Josh Aronson invites participants to bring a favorite photo book and exchange pages, stories and impressions through a series of timed rotations.
Led by Miami-based artist and photographer Josh Aronson, the program adapts the structure of speed dating into a social exercise centered on photography rather than romance. Aronson has presented versions of the project at Pérez Art Museum Miami, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and SFMOMA. His wider practice includes photography, artist books and public commissions, with recent projects shown across Miami and beyond.
Admission is free with RSVP, with capacity available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event coincides with the City of Miami Beach Culture Crawl, which includes complimentary trolley service among participating arts and cultural destinations.
