Third Thursdays: The Bass Dialogues with Kennedy Yanko
Mar 19, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A conversation on material, movement and making anchors this installment of The Bass’ Third Thursday series, featuring sculptor and installation artist Kennedy Yanko.
The Bass Dialogues with Kennedy Yanko centers on the artist’s intuitive sculptural practice, which transforms found metal and layers of paint skin into dynamic, large-scale works. Moderated by writer, poet and The Bass trustee Tom Healy, the discussion explores the physical and performative dimensions of Yanko’s process, as well as how her work challenges conventional boundaries between material, form and perception.
Taking place Thursday, March 19, the program is part of Third Thursdays at The Bass on Miami Beach, a monthly series dedicated to storytelling, historical inquiry, poetry, community dialogue and one-night-only installations. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the talk beginning at 6:30 p.m. and running approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
Third Thursdays are free with RSVP and supported by the Art Bridges Foundation Access for All Program. Seating and standing room are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis at The Bass, 2100 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. The evening coincides with the City of Miami Beach Culture Crawl and includes access to complimentary trolley service connecting participating cultural destinations.
