Unfold: The Pride Plays

Experience an afternoon or evening of theater that invites reflection on identity, relationships and the complexity of lived experiences within the LGBTQ2+ community. Set against the backdrop of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, this program presents three short plays centered on Latino voices and perspectives.
Unfold: The Pride Plays will be performed on Saturday, June 7 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 8 at 2 p.m. Each performance includes three one-act pieces: The Gopher, which explores trauma and the choice to break cycles of abuse; Bioluminescent, a dialogue between a South Beach father and his non-binary child navigating language and generational gaps; and Imposter Syndrome, a story about intimacy and boundaries between a bisexual woman and her transgender partner as they confront unexpected challenges.
The performances are free to attend with RSVP and are supported by the Miami Beach Arts and Culture Council and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs..
