WALLCAST® Concert: Denève Brahms 3

Brahms’ Third Symphony shares the program with contemporary works by Missy Mazzoli and Kevin Puts, including a New World Symphony debut by genre-crossing trio Time for Three. The free outdoor concert takes place Saturday, December 12 at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. Artistic Director Stéphane Denève leads the New World Symphony Fellows in a program spanning Romantic orchestral writing and 21st-century composition.
Time for Three performs Puts’ Grammy Award-winning Contact, a concerto created for the trio’s distinctive blend of violin, double bass and vocals. The program also includes Mazzoli’s atmospheric Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres), conducted by NWS Conducting Fellow Ziwei Ma, followed by Brahms’ Symphony No. 3.
The concert will be broadcast live from the New World Center onto its 7,000-square-foot exterior projection wall with accompanying outdoor sound. Guests can bring a blanket or lawn chair and pack a picnic to enjoy during the performance. Admission is free and no ticket is required.
