WALLCAST® Concert: Denève, Thibaudet, Bernstein & Gershwin
May 02, 2026
Starting: 8:00 PM
Bernstein’s wit and Gershwin’s jazz-infused energy fill SoundScape Park in Miami Beach in an evening led by conductor Stéphane Denève with pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet. The free WALLCAST® Concert: Denève, Thibaudet, Bernstein & Gershwin on Saturday, May 2 features Bernstein’s lively Overture to Candide and his Symphony No. 2 “The Age of Anxiety”, a parable about the search for meaning. Thibaudet also performs Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm Variations (arranged by Schoenfeld), and the program concludes with Gershwin’s vibrant An American in Paris. NWS Conducting Fellow Ziwei Ma also appears on the podium.
The performance inside the New World Center will be projected in high definition on its 7,000-square-foot wall, with a mobile screen and enhanced sound system expanding the viewing area. Guests are welcome to bring blankets or picnic dinners for a relaxed evening under the stars. No tickets are required, and public restrooms are available in the southeast corner of the park.
