What's Liberty?
Oct 22, 2026 - Oct 23, 2026
Daily through Oct 23, 2026
From: 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Florida playwrights explore the meaning of liberty through a collection of short works developed for the 250th anniversary of the United States. Presented Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 at the Sandrell Rivers Theater, What’s Liberty? brings the completed pieces to the stage in a public reading performed by local actors.
The plays span multiple genres and reflect a range of cultural perspectives from across Florida. Each work grew from a workshop process that included guided discussion, structured feedback and individual mentoring as participating writers developed their responses to the theme of liberty.
Presented by Femuscripts in partnership with Fantasy Theatre Factory, the staged reading concludes the play-development program. Tickets are $30 for general admission, $20 for seniors age 65 and older and $18 for students with ID.
