Miami’s Winter Music Conference is happening March 25-28, 2019.

Music lovers from around the world flock to the warm weather and beaches every March for Winter Music Conference, Miami Music Week and the main event: Ultra Music Festival. Miami has hosted Winter Music Conference for more than 30 years and the festival is known worldwide as the premiere platform for electronic dance music, a.k.a. EDM.

Learn the general gist of what goes down during Winter Music Conference (WMC).

Every March during the Winter Music Conference, music enthusiasts, artists, DJs and music industry delegates from over 70 countries end up on Miami Beach for more than 400 music industry related events, parties, seminars and workshops. Registration to the Winter Music Conference includes access to all of these events including featured Q&As, WMC official poolside events, South Beach sessions, trade show and exhibits, DJ Spin-Offs, VJ Challenge as well as free or reduced admission to other WMC official and sanctioned events. This year, the event is taking place at the Faena District on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach.

The Music: DJs & Artists

Winter Music Conference and Miami’s year-round thriving musical environment have helped define electronic dance music. What was once an underground segment music has now burst through to the mainstream. Names like David Guetta, Diplo, Avicii, Tiesto and Grammy winner Skrillex are some of the artists who have broken through the radio barriers. DJs across the globe have used the WMC platform to elevate their status within the scene, network with music insiders and make the kind of EDM that you can’t help but dance to.

For those working in the music industry, WMC has long been a go-to event, but it’s not just for music business professionals – it’s about true music aficionados. From international artists playing at parties and venues throughout Miami Beach, to annual WMC events like the DJ Spin-Offs for Beatmatching and Scratching. You’ll get to experience the skills of some of the most talented DJs from around the world as they mix and manipulate their way to victory.

The Industry: Tech, Products and Gear

For some it’s all about the parties, but for others, it’s about the music industry itself and that includes electronic music’s cutting-edge equipment. If you love to spin or just love the tech, you can find the latest in music technology, products, services and gear in the two-day exhibit trade show at WMC. The trade show is an audiophile's utopia, representing all aspects of the music industry.

The Parties: Poolside, Outside and Clubside

Beyond the business networking and music industry events, Winter Music Conference is mostly about the same thing that electronic dance music is about, parties and having a good time. Clubs and venues in Miami host raves, parties and events. If you’re visiting for just the partying, be sure to do a bit of research about tickets, club policies and schedules to ensure that you make it to the events you’re interested in. Many of the parties and concerts require tickets in advance and can sell out.

Tickets to Winter Music Conference include access to panels, industry experts, educational sessions, mentorship programs and more. Access starts at $150 per person.
