Workshops @ The Bass: Syntropy
Nov 15, 2026
From: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Live figure drawing and still life come together in a workshop focused on observation, composition and the connections between people and everyday objects at The Bass in Miami Beach. Syntropy: Learning To See Is The First Step takes place Sunday, November 15, as part of the museum’s Workshops @ The Bass series and is led by Juan Pablo Bohorquez. The session complements Yuko Mohri’s exhibition and its attention to the relationships that emerge among ordinary materials and objects.
Participants will work from both a live model and still life arrangements while exploring syntropy, a concept centered on finding order and connection among seemingly scattered elements. Designed as a mindful, beginner-friendly practice, the workshop emphasizes close observation as a foundation for drawing and visual composition.
The workshop is open to adults ages 21 and older at all skill levels, with materials provided. Admission is $20 for nonmembers, $10 for museum members up to the Affiliate level and free for Affiliate members and above.
