World Ocean Day Celebration: Beach Clean Up
This event has passed.
Dedicate a morning to protecting our precious oceans by participating in a beach clean up, as part of the World Ocean Day Celebration's lineup of events. Organized by Clean Miami Beach, Blue Scholars Initiative, Art Sail and International Seakeepers Society, this volunteer effort takes place on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at 35th Street Beach. Join fellow community members and volunteers in removing trash and debris from the coastline, helping to safeguard our beaches and marine life. All ages are welcome.
To ensure a smooth clean-up experience:
- Wear closed-toe shoes for navigating the dunes.
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Sanitized garden gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
- Buckets and pickers will be available, or you can bring your own preferred tools.
- Opt for reef-safe sunscreen to protect both yourself and the marine environment.
Meeting point: Look for the turtle flag at the oceanfront. Limited metered parking is available at a nearby lot.
