Zombi Manifiesto
Sep 10, 2026 - Sep 12, 2026
Starting: 8:30 PM
A missing corpse, a model bureaucrat and a dead military officer demanding justice set the stage for a darkly comic political work from Uruguay. Zombi Manifiesto runs Thursday, September 10 through Saturday, September 12 at Westchester Cultural Arts Center. Written and directed by Santiago Sanguinetti, the production is part of the 40th International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami.
Presented by Compañía Abuela Katiusha, Sala Verdi of Montevideo and Pazo da Cultura de Narón of Galicia, the play begins after a clandestine exhumation and kidnapping leave the body of a military officer missing. As a bureaucrat insists on a dignified burial, the dead man appears and demands justice, turning the premise into a confrontation with memory, power and accountability.
The cast features Mateo Altez, Carmen Draper, Carla Moscatelli and Rogelio Gracia. The production is performed without intermission.
