Camp Owaissa Bauer

Camp Owaissa Bauer in Homestead is the ideal place for large-group camping in South Dade. Able to accommodate up to 160 cabin campers and 200 tent campers for extended stays, this public campground is ideal for retreats, family reunions, weddings or simply some time under the stars.

Cabins

There are four air-conditioned cabins – each with bunk beds, vinyl mattresses and en suite restrooms – that can sleep up to 104 guests. Two non-air-conditioned cabins can sleep up to 46 guests and three air-conditioned rooms can sleep another 10 guests. A bath house with men’s and women’s bathrooms and ADA-accessible showers is located nearby.

Amenities and Activities

Camp Owaissa Bauer is an outdoor escape from the city. Enjoy team sports like basketball, softball and volleyball, or take a dip in the large pool. For indoor fun, create crafts in the craft room. Other amenities and activities include a recreational patio (perfect for a round of cards or dominoes), a Nature Center and hiking trails. For a fun way to end the day, gather everyone around the campfire and roast s’mores.

If you plan to cook, a fully equipped commercial kitchen is available for use. Feast on the fruits of your labor in the large, air-conditioned dining hall or the onsite picnic shelter.

Reservation Information
