Doral Glades Park

Doral Glades Park boasts a nature preserve, a large lake and sports facilities – including a sand volleyball court, two tennis courts and a basketball court, making it ideal for families looking to enjoy outdoor activities in a safe environment. Set on 25 sprawling acres in the community of Doral in northwestern Miami-Dade County, Doral Glades Park is teeming with wildlife. The park opened in the summer of 2019, making it one of the area’s newest outdoor recreation venues.

Designed with a mission to showcase the lush ecosystem surrounding Doral there are plenty of ways to experience this unique natural habitat firsthand. Stroll with your family along the lake’s scenic lighted boardwalk and pier with direct access to the wetlands. Keep your eyes peeled for herons, egrets and other wading birds along the mangrove shoreline. You can also launch kayaks to set out and explore the shallow waters or cast a line at the fishing pier and see what you reel in. For families traveling with younger children, the park also boasts a nature-themed playground with a slide beneath a shaded canopy.

There’s still plenty to experience outdoors with the park’s lake and sports facilities. Enjoy a snack under the outdoor pavilions (available for rentals), play a game of tennis or sand volleyball or stroll the scenic boardwalk.
