Oak Grove Park

Situated in the Golden Glades area near North Miami Beach, Oak Grove Park is an excellent place to bring the family for a day of outdoor recreation. The grassy park is anchored by a lake where you can often spot ibis, egrets and other wading birds, as well as turtles sunbathing along the shore. The lake and wildlife give the small neighborhood park the feeling of a true nature preserve. With tennis courts and soccer fields, it’s also a fantastic destination for sports. Set out on a walk along the park’s pathways beneath the trees to get the lay of the land. You’ll find fitness zones along the way with equipment for exercising in the great outdoors. For a relaxing afternoon, pack a picnic and spread out a blanket beneath one of the many shady oak trees by the lake and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature.

The park is also next to the Father Gerard Jean-Juste Community Center, named after the Haitian activist who advocated for Haitian refugees. The center includes a pool with a deck and splash pad as well as multi-purpose rooms and cultural enrichment activities.
