Lagniappe House

The beauty of the nightly live music at Lagniappe House in Midtown Miami is that you can always count on finding new talent—from solo pianists, saxophonists and bass players to samba trios and five-piece funk collectives. The music starts up around 9 p.m. every night and jams until about midnight, giving you ample opportunity to soak up a great set, mingle on the spacious outdoor patio, share a bottle of wine and indulge in delicious grilled meats and veggies along with cheese and charctuerie plates.

With live jazz music every night, Neme Gastro Bar on Coral Way is a charming hangout with a focus on local talents. The performances are top-notch, as is the extensive list of premium wines, beers and craft cocktails. Indulgent fare ranges from skirt steak chimichurri to seafood paella.

Bougainvillea's Old Florida Tavern

Bougainvillea’s Old Florida Tavern, lovingly known as Bougie’s Bar, features a different musical act every night, from live reggae and local jam bands to karaoke and DJs. Set inside an Old Florida house in South Miami, performances take place in both the living room and the backyard, for a laidback and inviting atmosphere.

Luna Star Cafe

A Nashville-style listening room in North Miami, Luna Star Cafe is a unique venue for great live music Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night starting at 4 p.m.. Snag a front row seat to discover incredible local talent during their open jam nights or come out to hear the house band, all while enjoying beer, wine, sake and upscale Mediterranean cuisine.

Mango’s Tropical Cafe

Any newcomer to South Beach should be required to visit Mango’s Tropical Cafe on Ocean Drive for initiation into our colorful, wild tropical paradise. From salsa dancers bedecked in sequins and headdresses dancing on the bar, to dinner and a show combinations and late night revelry, there’s always action at Mango’s. On Saturdays and Sundays starting at 4 p.m., they also host live bands to amp up the festive weekend vibes.

Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen at CityPlace Doral

Situated in the al fresco CityPlace Doral shopping and entertainment center, Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind Miami destination. With a self-described rock-n-roll attitude, their musical acts run the gamut from blues to acoustic, country, Top 40 and throwback 80s. Beyond the Stage Bar, you’ll also find a more relaxed beer garden, as well as a pub and kitchen specializing in craft beer, cocktails and tasty grub.

Jada Coles

With live music nearly every night of the week, Jada Coles is a lively spot on Coral Way that also hosts poker tournaments Sunday and Monday nights, trivia on Mondays and karaoke on Wednesday and Saturdays. That leaves Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for live music from local bands. With pool tables, flat screen TVs and a solid happy hour, you can’t go wrong with a night out here.

A restaurant from celebrity chef Lorena Garcia, CHICA is a high-energy Latin American dining and entertainment experience in Morningside in the same vein as Mango’s, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with CHICA Nights. On these occasions, performers costumed in feather headdresses and sequins dance to the sounds of resident DJs and musicians for a lively evening out.

Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Co.

If the unusual name didn’t tip you off, Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Co. is all about celebrating the weird and wonderful in Miami. Unique talent is always on tap during their regular Thursday, Friday and Saturday live music nights, which pair perfectly with a generous pour of one of their impeccably brewed craft beers.

Tea & Poets

Relax in the audience or take your place on the stage during Tea & Poets’ regular open mic nights. A unique local gem in South Miami, it’s part coffeehouse, part music venue and part neighborhood boutique. The bohemian vibe perfectly suits the eclectic assortment of acts that perform here, from spoken word to acoustic trios, solo musicians and so much more.
