Parks in Miami Gardens

Famous as the home of Hard Rock Stadium, where the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami’s football team compete, Miami Gardens is a lovely residential neighborhood in northern Miami-Dade County. As its name implies, Miami Gardens is a beautifully landscaped area with plenty of public parks providing outdoor recreation for the whole family. Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex
Situated in the heart of a residential neighborhood across the street from Miami Garden Lake, the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex is an impressive park with both indoor and outdoor facilities. Circled by an exercise trail, it’s home to football and soccer fields, a track and an amphitheater. Inside the recreational complex you’ll find a basketball gym, volleyball courts, a swimming pool, a dance studio and an auditorium. The complex provides locker rooms and meeting facilities.
Buccaneer Park
Buccaneer Park is a beautifully manicured green space with tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters with grills, a playground and a meandering walking trail. One of the major draws for families with young children is the splash pad, with ample space to cool off in bubbling fountains designed to look like a pirate’s ship. While access to the park is free, a small fee applies at the splash pad.
Bunche Park & Pool
With both indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, Bunche Park & Pool is a wonderful community resource with an indoor walking track, a volleyball court, locker rooms, meeting facilities, outdoor basketball courts, a football field, a soccer field and a playground. The outdoor swimming pool has areas for lap swimming and recreation. While access to the park is free, a small fee applies when visiting the pool.
Miami Carol City Park
With playgrounds, picnic pavilions and a walking path, Miami Carol City Park is home to basketball courts, a baseball diamond and a football field. The park has restrooms and water fountains onsite, and indoor meeting rooms are available for rent. Whether you’re up for a friendly game of touch football, a family stroll or an afternoon picnic, Miami Carol City Park is a perfect destination.
Scott Park
With a baseball/softball diamond and plenty of green space, Scott Park is a lovely destination for outdoor recreation. You’ll find basketball courts, a football field and a playground. It’s a great place for families and kids of all ages to enjoy.
Rolling Oaks Park
Rolling Oaks Park is another lovely public park in the heart of Miami Gardens featuring ample green space with shade trees. It has long been a popular destination for families in the area. The park recently reopened after undergoing renovations. Visitors can enjoy new and improved facilities, including picnic pavilions, a playground, basketball and tennis courts, and much more.
Vista Verde
Aptly named, Vista Verde is a lush, sprawling park with a leafy green tree canopy that feels like a forest far from Miami’s hustle and bustle. There’s plenty of space to explore during an afternoon walk, and you’ll also find a basketball court and playground here.
